Sara Savannah Jones is a Lakeland-based visual artist and the director of the SPACE Art Collective. Her work is painted primarily in acrylics, layering color rather than blending it to create hyper-realistic images that feel like collages, reminiscent of that roll of disposable camera photos you finally developed three years later.

She uses recycled canvas and found surfaces whose prior wear becomes part of the narrative. Referencing consumerism, the saved photos on her phone, and graphic design, Jones builds compositions that balance precision with playful unruliness, often threading humor or irony through themes of nostalgia, late-stage capitalism, and longing. Guided by rigorous color theory study and an interest in helping people feel comfortable having conversations through art, her paintings invite viewers into a dialogue where materials, histories, and feelings serve as vessels for discourse.
